So the good thing about going over my due date is we had some time to finish up some projects-- including the kids room. Ross made the floating shelves, which I LOVE. I painted the dresser, and the shelf hanging above the dresser, and Ross used the paint sprayer for the crib and the rocking chair. We re-used all the art except the vintage mobile, which I found on etsy.
So far my kids don't really have many opinions on how to decorate anything. I let Ethan have free reign of the shelf above his bed (he's the top bunk) and he would probably just leave it empty if I didn't suggest anything. I'm sure someday that will change, but until then I'll do what I want in their room. :)
Ross made this simple tent using this tutorial. To be honest they really don't use it much. When I put it away they like that book corner much more. Oh well, not the first time we've had a project/gift for the kids flop. Probably not the last either.
I love how bright and airy it feels now. Especially without all of their toys! We moved everything down into our finished basement. So as soon as we have everything all organized and hung in there I'll share pictures.
