Catch Up 3

Life has been so very good since this little one has come.  Her temperament is much easier going than my first two.  She also sleeps 5-8 1/2 hours in a row!  Which helps a lot.  She brings a lot of joy and love to our house.  And I just can't get enough of these two interacting with her.  The adjustment from 2-3 kids has been way easier for me than 1-2.  But when Leah was born Ross was in school and work full time and she was very colicky.  And they were *ahem* 18 months apart.  So there's that.  I feel really lucky right now.

Catch Up 2

This was the first year we made it to the Mission Family Festival.  It was such a beautiful day, and a great little festival that wasn't too busy.  The kids each picked two rides plus the ferris wheel.  My pregnant belly preventing me from any rides.  Next time.

We also always enjoy the Turkey Creek Festival in Merriam.  This year we met our cousins there.  They each got their hair colored.  I'm so glad they live close to cousins.

These two pictures are some of my very favorite ever.  The best laughs always come on the tire swing.  Daddy is the best.

Shawnee Mission Park had free boat rides, so we all took a ride in the paddle boats, and then Ross took each kid out in a kayak.

Catch Up

So, time to purge all of my phone photos.  These were taken waaay back in the springtime.  I think the dandelions were in FULL force this year.  I don't remember there ever being so many.  Our field across the street was full of them and I kept driving by and thinking, I've got to get the kids over there to take pictures!  Not sure why I didn't have my big camera.  Leah stole my phone half way through and thus resulted in several pictures of her cute feet.
The Overland Park Arboretum is one of our favorite places. It was a bit chilly and grey this day, but we still had a lot of fun exploring.  It's no longer free every day, but it's not very expensive either.
I just LOVE the fairy houses.  I would have died over them as a child.  My kids loved them and were really hoping we would see some fairies flying back to their homes.
Ethan has done this cute thing lately where he covers his mouth after he says something he thinks is particularly silly.  It's adorable.
