August 2014

Hey, only 2 months behind now!

Ross was out of town for our anniversary I think.  So we celebrated it later by going to a yummy restaurant in Brookside, and then going to Murray's ice cream afterwards. Very delicious.
We went to a Royal's game with some friends. They lost, but we went on a Friday so there were fireworks.  It was good company and good entertainment.
Leah is so girly, and loves to put on any make-up she finds.

Leah wanted a dress out of this material, so Ross just folded it around her and pinned it.  I was actually very impressed that it stayed on and kind of looked like an actual dress.
We went with friends and Ross' cousin to the Arboretum,
where our kids pretended to be sculptures.  I'm sad I didn't get more pictures with Ross' cousin Michelle and her cute family.
We also went to the Aquarium with Michelle and family too.  The kids really enjoyed it.  I thought it was well done, but kind of small for the price of tickets.
Ethan's first day of First Grade!
Running a muddy obstacle course 5K with my sister-in-law!   It was very fun.  It was hot, but the mud kept us pretty cool.  I really enjoyed the obstacle course part.
I did not see how Jovee got into the sink of their little play kitchen.  She was wedged in their pretty good, and I had to maneuver her around the faucet too when I got her out.  She was not very happy about being in there!

June 2014

I was cleaning out the fridge one day, and Jovee hopped right in.  Her favorite place to be is in the fridge.  She runs right to it whenever the door is open.

L: Ross and his three kiddos on Father's day. R: repeat pic.
L:  Leah in crazy clothes in the rain.  R: Such a good daddy
who voluntarily cleans under the high chair.
These kids just love to climb everything

Saying goodbye to the Cunninghams.  Such great friends.
Still sad they are gone. :(

May 2014

Cute Ethan
Left: My arms were so full walking home from a neighbors, and I needed Leah to hold her booster seat for me, but she was NOT happy about it.  It took a long time to get back to our house.  Right: Asparagus picking with cousins

We went to a school carnival with the Cunninghams.  The kids each chose a couple of rides to go on.  It's fun to watch their big smiles.
Ross and the kids made my mother's day a lot of fun.  Coupons for 'snuguls' and these sweet drawings were definitely a highlight.

Leah hardly ever holds still, so when she's sick and snuggly, I take advantage.
Strawberry picking at Geiringers Orchard.  It's definitely not as affordable as apple picking, but we came home with a pound or two, and it was fun.
 Ah, summer days..
Leah's little dance performance.  It was so adorable.  Her teacher was Ms. Sharon at Beller Dance, and she was fantastic.  She danced with her little friends Ava and Scout from church.
Left: Leah's first official bike ride by herself! Right: Ethan earned the Citizenship of the Year Award
Left: Ethan and his sweet teacher Mrs. Clements. I'm so sad I only took this one, and her eyes were closed!  She was pretty much the perfect kindergarten teacher. We loved her.  Right: Cute Jovee and her favorite game of peek-a-boo.
Having fun teaching preschool and adding Ethan and a friend too.
Chatting with Elder Honey on his mission, and Jovee getting good at standing!

April

These are in totally random order, because that's how I'm having them printed at Costco. :)

A pretty view outside my window in the Spring time.  I love Spring.
 Probably even more than Fall.
A sunny picture near the trees in Shawnee Mission Park.
We went with the Cunninghams down to Branson for a weekend.  We had a lot of fun throwing rocks into this lake at sunset, and overall just hanging out, exploring, playing games and relaxing together.

A picture from Leah to me. :)  A collection of treasures from a nature walk.
Only one swing available means we share!  The kids both learned how to ride their bikes with no training wheels this spring.  Benefits of having a track right across the street. :)
A pose from Leah.  Trying to take a picture for Uncle Will's birthday.  Ethan is laughing so hard in this, I love it.

Jovee's first time in a little playground.  She thought that was just the coolest.
More rock throwing, and a happy baby.
I was able to chaperone a field trip with Ethan.  The bus ride was really fun.  We were in the back and it was bumpy!  Also he looked really sweet gazing out the window.
Ethan drew a picture of Jesus helping someone on one side of this boiled egg, and a picture of the easter bunny on the other. :)

At a fish hatchery on the way home from Branson.  An Easter Egg Hunt with the Wellmans and Cunninghams.  My kids were looking kind of scrappy compared to theirs. :)

April 2014

After church on Easter Sunday we attempted to take some family pictures in our Easter outfits.  Well, they aren't great, but they are better than nothing!

How many times have I seen this happen in Jovee's little life? Answer: So many!
I had the camera set up on a tripod for a while before we were all ready, and I came in to fid the kids using posing for their own pictures.  I love the poses they came up with. :)
